You Say Potato, We Use Potatoes

Senomyx Environmentally-Friendly Employee Lunch

Senomyx employees enjoy their lunch break responsibly by using environmentally-friendly “silverware”.

In our continuing efforts to reduce costs and be more “green”, Senomyx has made the switch from plastic utensils to more environmentally friendly plant-based forks, knives and spoons. These utensils are made of 70% renewable resources, rather than 100% non-renewable petroleum plastic, and are both cold and hot food friendly with a heat tolerance of up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Our plant-based “silverware” looks just like plastic utensils, but they have a cooler texture and a less significant carbon footprint, and their reinforced handles mean they won’t bend or break when you try to eat something tough. With Senomyx Spudwarethese handles and temperature stability, the plant-based cutlery can be reused for quite some time! Senomyx is proud to use these utensils rather than plastic—as the somewhat clever saying goes, why not have some potatoes with your potatoes (and reduce the impact plastic has on the environment)? And although some employees would beg to differ, no—you can’t taste the potatoes.
