Senomyx Employees Race to the Finish in the San Diego Half Marathon at Petco Park

July 19, 2012 Senomyx Health and Wellness

Senomyx San Diego Start BannerSeveral Senomyx employees participated in the San Diego Half Marathon at Petco Park, a fairly new race that celebrates the beauty and uniqueness of the City of San Diego while raising money to help our communities.  The San Diego Half Marathon is doing business as a nonprofit with all net proceeds going towards local community service projects.  In addition to the funding, the organizers hope to catalyze volunteerism as a way to help those in need throughout America’s finest city.

Projects planned for this year, which are subject to change, include:

  • - Robb Field beautification (Point Loma/Ocean Beach)
  • - Hickman Field beautification and infrastructure, e.g. restrooms installation (Clairemont)
  • - SDPD Headquarters Lounge Upgrades (Downtown San Diego)
  • - Fire Station 9 repairs and beautification (La Jolla)
  • - Lake Murray playground (Lake Murray)
  • - Toys for Joy clothes, food and toys drive (Lincoln Park)

The scenic 13.1-mile course is also a great way to stay in shape.  We are proud of the Senomyx employees who trained for this run and set personal goals to make it to the finish line.

Congratulations to all of our runners not only for giving back to the community, but for staying in great shape!
